The Sugar House Casino opens today at 1pm on the Delaware river waterfront.
What are your thoughts on having a casino in Philly. Is this a good thing or a bad thing?
All we can say is that they did an amazing job on the waterfront. Make sure that you at least check it out, even if you are totally against it. The architecture is worth the trip, honestly.
I'm going to be dead honest. I had no idea what to expect from the Hero Thrill Show. I knew that it was a great cause, and the police and fire department demonstrations were fantastic. But when it came to putting mixed martial artists in that mix, to me, it was a total toss up.
But, there was a line for autographs from the time the first fighters - Brylan Van…
Built as part of a 28 acre revitalization project in Northern Liberties, The Piazza at Schmidts (and the Liberties Walk) is modeled after the Piazzas of Italy. If you've traveled abroad, you know the cozy feel of the boutique filled side streets and the open environment of the square itself. If you haven't, look no further. Fall 2010 is going to be awesome for Philadelphia's MMA scene. I'm really excited to get the fall kicked off this weekend with a show that's not even a cage fight. I'm pretty proud that my website, Mid-Atlantic MMA will be hosting a fighter meet & greet table at this Saturday's Hero Thrill Show. I have to thank Jimmy Binns Jr for making that happen, by the way.
