I first attended First Fridays as a poor college freshman at Temple University. Not having a lot of recreational funds and having several artistic friends made this a great once a month outing. Revisiting this event years later offered a similar and more appreciative view on this great opportunity. This free event (unless you decide to purchase artwork) is a great experience for all ages, regardless of your tastes in artwork.
Art Galleries in Olde City started the trend of staying open…

But last night was a great night of fights down at the Tropicana in Atlantic City. Three title fights on one card, and some great up and comers, like Chris Wing (trains at Wing Martial Arts in Trevose) and Mike Andrillo (FDNY's 137 Truck). Ring of…

I'm going to be dead honest. I had no idea what to expect from the
Hero Thrill Show. I knew that it was a great cause, and the police and fire department demonstrations were fantastic. But when it came to putting mixed martial artists in that mix, to me, it was a total toss up.
But, there was a line for autographs from the time the first fighters - Brylan Van…

Built as part of a 28 acre revitalization project in Northern Liberties, The Piazza at Schmidts (and the Liberties Walk) is modeled after the Piazzas of Italy. If you've traveled abroad, you know the cozy feel of the boutique filled side streets and the open environment of the square itself. If you haven't, look no further. The idea of the Piazza was to create a walking neighborhood where the residents could meet all of their needs within 5 minutes. They've captured that and so much…

Philadelphia is one of the most dog-friendly cities around!
Imagine riding in a horse-drawn carriage down the same cobblestone streets that our forefathers walked on, your pup at your side. You pass Benjamin Franklin’s house, the Liberty Bell and the Constitution Center. A city rich in history, the City of Brotherly Love is also dog friendly!
Begin your stay at the luxurious located at the …

Fall 2010 is going to be awesome for Philadelphia's MMA scene. I'm really excited to get the fall kicked off this weekend with a show that's not even a cage fight. I'm pretty proud that my website,
Mid-Atlantic MMA will be hosting a fighter meet & greet table at this Saturday's
Hero Thrill Show. I have to thank Jimmy Binns Jr for making that happen, by the way.
Anyway, the Thrill…
