TILT Institute for the Contemporary Image hosts If We Never Get Better Panel Discussion

Join TILT Institute for the Contemporary Image for a panel discussion on their latest exhibition, If We Never Get Better, hosted by exhibition curator and the Photographer’s Green Book’s (PGB) Editor-in-Chief Sydney Ellison. During this program, Ellison and the featured artists will join a panel discussion moderated by Ally Caple, Director of Public Engagement at PGB. The panel will explore If We Never Get Better’s premise and how photography functions as a means to examine the complexities of healthcare, illness, and disability.

If We Never Get Better features work from lens-based artists who focus on healthcare, collective grief, disability, illness, and healing as components of their practices. The artwork invites the viewer to consider: What if these circumstances aren’t pitied, ignored, or wished away, but instead are seen as a place for the study and cultivation of new skills that allow us to relate to others in a different way?
