Satellite Second Saturday

On October 9th, it's another Satellite Second Saturday! Local artists and craftspeople come out and vend their creations in the triangle at 50th & Baltimore, right in front of the Firehouse. Check out all the wondrous handmade wares, such as reconstructed childrens' clothing, cards, boxes, jewelry, and knitted accessories - there's always something unique and special to find.

At VIX, you can make a pair of earrings (for FREE!) with Krista Peel, jewelry maker extraordinaire and keeper of the Philadelphia Art Hotel, where she and her husband host artists who are visiting Philadelphia, giving them a place to live and work for a while in exchange for a piece of their artwork. She an amazingly talented artist herself and a super sweet lady. Stop by while supplies last and she'll help you create your own unique pair of earrings to take home. Check out her distinctive designs at VIX while you're here, and enjoy complimentary refreshments.
