Outstanding in Her Field: Farm Dinner Honoring Esther McManus

Les Dames d’Escoffier Philadelphia presents Outstanding In Her Field on Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.  This new annual awards dinner will serve to recognize a Philadelphia-area woman for her accomplishments in the food, beverage or hospitality  industry. This year’s inaugural event will feature a farm dinner in the vineyard at  the Inn at Grace Winery (50 Sweetwater Road in Glen Mills) honoring  the pioneering culinary work and teachings of Chef Esther McManus. Well-known for her star turn teaching Julia Child how to bake the perfect croissant, she is now a beloved chef-instructor at the Restaurant School, where she shares her generous and inspiring passion – and flawless techniques – with her lucky culinary students, who are known to universally adore her.
