his 2 1/2 hour intensive will help you to understand the Ashtanga practice and demystify any fears you may have regarding the practice. The Mysore style is self-practice, each student works at their own pace and with the teacher to evolve a personal practice in terms of speed, content and focus that works for them. This workshop will help you to understand the structure of the class as well as memorization of the sequence up through the standing postures. Once the memory is established the student is then able to focus fully on the breath and posture, and ideally transcend both. We will go over techniques to help establish your use of the Breath and the Bandhas. There will be time for question and answer as well as a background and philosophy of the practice. All levels are invited; ones who are working to memorize the sequence and also those wanting to deepen their practice.
