Event Description

Built more than 250 years ago as a summer retreat along the banks of the Schuylkill River, Woodford Mansion has been home to many prominent Philadelphia families. The women associated with Woodford played many roles and their stories are told through an impressive collection of portraits and antiques. Tour Woodford from March 21st through March 25th during Women's History Month for tours focused on the lives and legends of the women of Woodford, such as Hannah Coleman, Ann Hickman Barclay, Rebecca Franks, and Bilah Abigail Franks, as well as Naomi Wood, whose antiques collection fills the museum.
