The annual WXPN Musicians On Call Benefit Concert will be hosted by Helen Leicht and feature singer-songwriter Matt Nathanson, with Philly's own Chris Kasper opening the show. All proceeds support WXPN Musicians On Call, the innovative program that promotes healing through the power of music and brings live performances to the bedsides of hospital-bound patients.
Since 2004, WXPN-FM has partnered with the national, non-profit Musicians On Call organization in leading its Philadelphia chapter, touching the lives of more than 50,000 patients and families throughout the Philadelphia region. During this time, more than 100 volunteer musicians and 51 volunteer guides have been providing weekly performances for patients at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center, the Philadelphia VA Medical Center and St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children.
Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door, with special limited VIP mezzanine seating available for $100. Visit WXPN’s website www.xpn.org to purchase.
