Join us at the Philadelphia Museum of Art for the kickoff event of the 2010 Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival. Japan Night at the Museum is part of the Art After 5 Series and features a live musical performance, guided gallery tours, cocktails, table-service, and more.
In the Great Stair Hall, Cibo Matto co-founder Miho Hatori will perform songs from her solo project. Known for drawing on sources that span the musical spectrum, Miho blends diverse elements seamlessly into a catchy and unique brand of pop.
Patrons are also invited to tour an exhibit of Japanese display artist, Tabaimo, who draws on the aesthetics of Japanese woodcuts and manga in her video works. Guided tours of the newly opened “Pleasures and Pastimes” exhibition will also be available. Entrance to Japan Night is Free with Museum Admission.
