Imagine glowing, colorful orbs lining the Schuylkill and riverbank that sense your presence and change color at your touch. The first-ever interactive public art installation from the Mural Arts Program, Light Drift brings 90 luminescent orbs by international artist Meejin Yoon to the Schuylkill Banks for a three-day outdoor exhibition as part of DesignPhiladelphia.
Don't miss this one-of-a-kind artistic experience that connects people with art and the river!
Funding for this project comes from the Take Me to the River grant program, administered by the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission with funding from the William Penn Foundation. Presented in partnership with Fairmount Park, the Schuylkill River Development Corporation and teh Philadelphia Water Department. Additional support through MIT HASS Grant, MIT FAST Grant and MIT UROP Program.
