Registration Required. Amanda Feifer, fermenting enthusiast behind phickle.com comes to the Greensgrow Community Kitchen to talk cultures and tea in this workshop on the ubiquitous and sometimes magical brew, Kombucha. You’ll learn the process for making this culture-rich brew two ways (continuous and single batch) and we'll discuss caring for the culture that is needed to make it, and techniques for adding flavor and fizz! We'll play around with secondary fermentation and discuss bottling tips, bacterial benefits, and taste finished ferments.
All participants will leave with a SCOBY (the culture to make kombucha at home) and some starter tea as well as an info packet with recipes, tips, techniques, etc.
