Take a guided hike to see the largest trees in our forest, some with a circumference of over 12 feet. Gain a historical perspective of the land while learning how these trees escaped harvest during a time dominated by agriculture and logging. We’ll also learn simple ways to identify these species by their winter characteristics. Our walk will take us through old fields, past ruins, and into steep ravines. If there is snow cover on the ground, wear warm boots or snowshoes. Space is limited. Pre-registration required.
