Event Description

Making a Difference: Social and Political Activism in Clay will bring together a wide range of artists working in clay who directly address current events through their projects. At this moment of political uncertainty and a seeming turn of popular opinion toward negativity, fear, and isolation, we want The Clay Studio to counter these notions using our curatorial platform by amplifying the voices of diverse artists. Making a Difference will be mounted in The Clay Studio’s 1,400 square foot gallery, in October and November 2018. Participating artists are Richard Notkin, Ann Agee, Ayumi Horie, Roberto Lugo, Kukuli Velarde, Syd Carpenter, Mara Superior, Sharif Bey, Paula Winokur, Mark Burns, Rebekah Myers, and Timothy Berg.
