SUMMARY:Ceramic Art Exhibition: Making a Difference: Social and Politi
 cal Activism in Clay
DESCRIPTION:Making a Difference: Social and Political Activism in Clay
will bring together a wide range of artists working in clay who direc
tly address current events through their projects. At this moment of p
olitical uncertainty and a seeming turn of popular opinion toward nega
tivity, fear, and isolation, we want The Clay Studio to counter these
notions using our curatorial platform by amplifying the voices of dive
rse artists. Making a Difference will be mounted in The Clay Studio’
s 1,400 square foot gallery, in October and November 2018. Participati
ng artists are Richard Notkin, Ann Agee, Ayumi Horie, Roberto Lugo, Ku
kuli Velarde, Syd Carpenter, Mara Superior, Sharif Bey, Paula Winokur,
Mark Burns, Rebekah Myers, and Timothy Berg.\n\nFor more information
