Winter got you down? Defrost those cold thoughts by planning for spring greening. Whether it’s made of straw bales or reclaimed wood, a cold frame is great way to start the growing season early or extend it into the fall. Get your garden off to an early start with a workshop, in collaboration with Penn State farmers and educators. We’ll tour a hoop house and learn how to build a cold frame on a budget, as well as learn successful growing techniques to ensure a bountiful harvest. Participants will leave with a completed cold frame. We’ll provide some tools, but please bring your own if you can. Pre-registration required.
Member price: $35
