Instead of feeling trapped in a life we don’t enjoy, we can learn how to embrace the life we have now as an opportunity to grow stronger and more confident. Just as we use the gym to grow strong, we can use daily difficulties to develop our inner strength. It is only through facing our own life with courage that we will find a feeling of true success and freedom that we were meant for.
More specifically, we will focus on the meaning of being a modern Buddhist. Being a Buddhist allows us to find peace right now and create lasting peace for the future. During this course, we will have the opportunity to deepen our spiritual practice and become an actual Buddhist.
To do this we can engage in the optional traditional Mahayana Buddhist Refuge Vow Ceremony. Taking this vow means we have decided to rely upon Buddhism throughout our life to solve our human problems and become the best person we can be.
Taught by Resident Teacher, Gen Tenzin.
Everyone is welcome.
