In this free public talk, local Buddhist monk Gen Tenzin will explain the basics of Buddhist meditation and its relevance to modern life. In particular we will learn how everyone, Buddhist and non-Buddhist, can use meditation to overcome mental pain and cultivate inner peace, confidence, contentment, and joy.
This free talk will be hosted by Kadampa Meditation Center Philadelphia and held at the Parkway Central Library in Room 108.
No cost. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Gen Tenzin is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center Philadelphia and a Buddhist monk of over 19 years. He has taught Kadampa Buddhism extensively for over 20 years throughout the United States, has a great depth of understanding of the teachings, and is skillful in his presentation by sharing them in an entertaining, approachable, and kind-hearted manner.
