BalletX at Glen Foerd features a world premiere by Tsai Hsi Hung, BalletX’s 2022 Choreographic Fellow, and the launch of the Choreographic Incubator, a new initiative designed to offer emerging choreographers a platform for freedom and experimentation, with new works by Nicole Caruana, Tommie-Waheed Evans, and Caili Quan.

Seating at this performance series is limited. Audiences are invited to come early for festive live music and complimentary tours of the historic Glen Foerd Mansion prior to each performance.

MEET THE CHOREOGRAPHERS

Tsai Hsi Hung

Nicole Caruana

Nicole Caruana, known for her “fun, joyous and quirky choreography” (Mooney on Theatre), creates a premiere set to the transcendent voice of opera singer and activist Marian Anderson.

Tommie-Waheed Evans

Tommie-Waheed Evans, a 2021 Guggenheim Fellow and former PHILADANCO dancer praised for “full throttle performance” (The Dance Journal), premieres a new work inspired by spiritual music’s impact on his life and artistry, featuring a live vocal performance by frequent BalletX collaborator, Tara Middleton.

Caili Quan
