Join Davio’s Philadelphia for a Special Evening Benefitting
the Songs of Love Foundation
(Philadelphia, PA) - Join Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse in
Philadelphia on Tuesday, June 10th, 2014 for a special evening featuring guest bartender and country music star Ayla Brown! From 5:00PM to 7:00PM, Ayla will be behind the bar serving some of Philadelphia’s favorite cocktails!
This special evening will benefit Songs of Love, a national organization that creates free, personalized, original songs to uplift children and teens currently facing tough medical, physical or emotional challenges. Since 1996, Songs of Love has reached out to over 22,500 children in over 500 hospitals and health care facilities in all 50 states. Ayla serves as their national spokesperson and has written over a dozen songs for kids.
Ayla Brown embarked on her artist journey after making it through the tryouts of 135,000 potential contestants for the national acclaimed television program American Idol in 2006. Brown finished her high school career as one of the top female basketball players in Massachusetts. history, scoring 2,380 career points. This made her the sixth place all-time leading scorer in Massachusetts basketball history, male or female. In 2006 she went on to attend BC on a full athletic scholarship as a Communications major.
Ayla served as the only National Anthem singer for the Philadelphia 76ers from 2011-2013. During her two years with the team, she also entertained the attendees with occasional half-time and concourse shows, and spent time with the fans as they watched the games. Ayla performed numerous full band and acoustic shows throughout the greater Philadelphia area while she was with the team, and coming up she will be performing at the American Music Theatre in Lancaster, PA on June 12, 2014 opening up for country music duo, Thompson Square.
Ayla has two country music albums. Her self-titled album, Ayla Brown, was released in November 2010 and charted onBillboard in the Northeast section of the United States. Her second release, Heroes & Hometowns, was released in November 2012 and peaked at #1 on Amazon MP3 and #51 on the iTunes country chart. Ayla has performed at the legendary Grand Ole Opry and Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, and has been overseas to Afghanistan, Spain, Italy, Greece, and Turkey to entertain the American troops.
