Free art projects for children celebrating ArtWell’s 10th Anniversary. Kids can dive in and participate in animal-themed art projects led by ArtWell’s teaching artists such as making masks and writing poetry. Youth are provided with the opportunity to reflect upon and be inspired by the animals at the Zoo while drumming musicians create a festive ambiance. Celebrate ArtWell’s 10th Anniversary, formerly the Arts and Spirituality Center, by taking a glimpse at its unique programming. Families are invited to stop by the location marked as #11 “Face Painting” on the Philadelphia Zoo map for a fun, free-flowing event on Sunday, July 10th from 11am-3pm. ArtWell is a local nonprofit organization that engages young people in reflection and creative expression to discover and honor their strengths and those of others. The ArtWell activities are free with regular Zoo admission.
