Event Description

Exhibiting American Craft Council (ACC) Fellow Awardees:

Sharon Church (jeweler), David Ellsworth (wood turner), Michael Hurwitz (furniture maker); Bruce Metcalf (jeweler) and the late George Nakashima (furniture maker).

 

Each of the fellows work in wood and have distinctive careers that span more than 25 years of craft. The Philadelphia region is widely recognized for its rich history within the field of craft, now reflected in the number of local artists who have been elected to the ACC College of Fellows. In addition to the Center, The Clay Studio, The Philadelphia Art Alliance and The Philadelphia Museum of Art will also host exhibits of ACC Fellows as part of Craft NOW Philadelphia – a celebration of the art of craft!
