Event Description
The Morris Animal Refuge, America’s First Animal Shelter, is pleased to announce that the21st Annual Fur Ball will be held on Saturday, March 10th, from 7pm – midnight. The yearly celebration is the refuge’s single largest fundraiser and goes towards helping the homeless, abandoned and unwanted pets of the Greater Philadelphia region. This year’s theme, Havana Nights, will transform the Simeone Foundation Auto Museum into a taste of Cuba – complete with a mojito bar from Bluebird Distilling, 50’s cars, and live music.
Emceed by Steve Morrison of WMMR’s Preston and Steve, the event will recognize outstanding members of the Morris Animal Refuge community. Governor Ed Rendell will receive the 2018 Elizabeth Morris Award and Animal Planet will be receiving this year’sGrace Labouchere Award for Corporate Humane Awareness. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet adoptable puppies at the event.
Tickets begin at $140 per person for general admission and includes 4 hour open bar, delicious Cuban fare from 12th Street Catering, live music and dancing all night long.
