St. Patty's Beer and Cheese Tasting

Tired of the same old St. Patrick's tradition of standing around a crowded bar slogging your way through cheap beer specials? Here's a truly distinctive and delicious alternative! Join City Food Tours on Saturday, March 19, for a fun and entertaining beer and cheese tasting that will knock the moss right off your Blarney Stone! This 2-hour event, held in a private room at Old City's popular Triumph Brewing Company, features generous samples of 8 stellar draughts brewed on-site -- including some of Triumph's limited-time St. Patty's beers. You'll also savor hearty portions of 4 sumptuous farmstead cheeses, including unique Irish-inspired varieties.

This event is SO much more than a tasting!

• Eric Matzke (one of the owners of City Food Tours) will share some fun facts about how micro-brewed beers and farmstead cheeses are made, and some of the quirky stories behind each brew and cheese you taste
• You'll taste and smell a variety of malted barley and hops, to get a feel for the character they add to different beer styles
• We'll share some tales about the love affair between the Irish and their beer
• You'll walk away with great tips on pairing cheese with beer, and the confidence to conquer any cheese shop and craft beer spot
• After the tasting ends, you can enjoy dinner at Triumph Brewing Company and get 15% off your dinner bill!

The entire event will take place at Triumph Brewing Company in Old City. Advanced reservations are required, and we are not able to accommodate walk-ins. Participants must be 21 or older.
