Museum for Art in Wood presents Object Lesson with Tom Martin, Scholar, and Lecturer

Join the Museum for Art in Wood for Object Lesson, a captivating monthly First Friday speaker series that unveils the Museum's Collection from an array of perspectives – from art and design to performance, community activism, education, and more. Led by individuals who bring diverse expertise, the series is an up-close and personal experience in an informal setting that encourages exploration of the many treasures the Collection offers.

On September 1, hear from our distinguished guest speaker Tom Martin, an Oxford University PhD, who researched perception and understanding among wooden boat builders on the American East Coast.
