Event Description

Bluestone Fine Art Gallery opens “Invented Surfaces: New Paintings by Natalie Hope McDonald” on April 4, 2014 for First Friday (please note: there will be a second First Friday event on May 2). The exhibition features new paintings by the Philly-based artist and writer in her first solo show at the gallery. Her paintings combine mixed media and drawing techniques with a focus on color, texture and abstraction inspired by the subjectivity of memory, as well as music, the written word and street art.
