In fiscal year 2013, more than 3,000 young people sought help from Covenant House Pennsylvania through its street outreach team, Crisis Center and Rights of Passage transitional housing program. More than 53 percent of youth entering the Crisis Center had prior involvement with the child welfare system, and 23 percent aged out of foster care system.
Now in its 15th year, Covenant House Pennsylvania serves homeless, runaway and at-risk youth in the Greater Philadelphia region age 21 and under. They offer a full continuum of services to meet the complex needs of homeless, runaway, and trafficked youth in the greater Philadelphia area and throughout the state. Available programs and services include street outreach, a 51-bed crisis center and transitional housing. Covenant House Pennsylvania assists youth by offering safe and stable housing, a solid educational foundation, medical services, and vocational support to help them on their journey to independent living.
