DESCRIPTION:“The Usefulness of Use ” is a new exhibition on displa
 y at The Clay Studio created by artist Yoko Sekino Bove. Since the sta
 rt of the pandemic, Yoko has been creating pieces that explore how art
  can connect us in spite of the virus forcing us to stay apart. Inspir
 ed by her background in graphic design and her interest in classic pot
 tery forms, Yoko’s functional work shows how an object can connect t
 he user to the artist in unexpected ways. She hopes to inspire comfort
  through her artwork by depicting objects used in common daily rituals
 , like pouring a cup of coffee or tea. This exhibition will be on disp
 lay and feature artwork for sale at The Clay Studio’s Shop from Dece
