SUMMARY:Tour and Talk with Amir Khadar
DESCRIPTION:Join “After the Flowers Pass” artist Amir Khadar for a
n intimate look at their exhibition and learn about their methods and
inspirations. Guests will also have a chance to ask questions during a
Q&A session following the tour. Amir Khadar is a multidisciplinary ar
tist from Minneapolis, Minnesota, who bridges the gap between fantasy
and reality in otherworldly creations. In “After the Flowers Pass,
Khadar uses textiles and mixed-media to construct a post-apocalyptic
world that reimages hierarchies in today’s society. Khadar liberate
s their figures and creates a visual language that centers on race, ge
nder, and climate justice.\n\nFor more information visit http://philly
