SUMMARY:Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens presents PECO Family Jams: Foun
 d-Object Sculptures
DESCRIPTION:There are hundreds of pieces of folk art from Mexico inclu
ded in Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens. Some folk artists follow tradit
ions taught by their parents or grandparents. They use traditional mat
erials, like clay and straw. Others invent brand-new ways of using thi
ngs thrown away by everyone else. Today’s craft is inspired by goods
found in our favorite marketplaces in Mexico. We will use colorful sn
ack bags, vinyl, and duct tape to make wallets you can take home.  \
