 ayunk once again for Mummers Mardi Gras! Don't miss out on the bigges
 t family-friendly Mardi Gras celebration in the city! Attendees will b
 e treated to numerous performances from the most prominent string band
 s parading down Main Street. This winter spectacular event will allow 
 families to enjoy all the pageantry of the Mummers in the quaint neigh
 borhood setting of Manayunk.  The daylong celebration will not only pr
 ovide excitement for Manayunk, but will contribute exposure and raise 
 money for one of the greatest traditions in Philadelphia: The Mummers!
  The date is set for Saturday, February 18th (Rain Date: Sunday, Febru
 ary 19th). The parade route will start at Shurs Lane at 11AM and proce
 ed down the length of Main Street. After the parade, we encourage all 
 attendees to visit our participating restaurants, which will serve as 
 String Band Clubhouses for the afternoon.  This a wonderful Saturday c
 elebration for friends and families that wish to delight their childre
 n with the true spirit of the Mummers. Enjoying the dynamic sounds of 
 the string bands will make for a perfect Saturday for both residents a
