 nstructor, Ari Rosenberg. Designing your home garden with permaculture
  principles can make your garden easier to maintain as well as a more 
 productive edible landscape and ecosystem. Once we’ve dipped our toe
 s into the fundamentals, Ari will help you build your own backyard con
 version plan, including a personalized perennial fruit and vegetable l
 ist, to give you all the knowledge you need to make your garden flouri
 sh sustainably.\nPermaculture is a holistic approach to sustainability
  centered on the importance of working with nature. It can take you be
 yond gardening to a lifestyle of independence and efficiency, permacul
 ture focuses on relationships and their impact rather than individual 
 elements. It sounds great, but how can we integrate these practices in
 to our lives?\nTo help make the most accurate plan, Ari asks participa
 nts to start observing their yards now, particularly noting sunlight h
 ours and how they change throughout the season, any pests or insect si
 ghtings, and how water drains (or doesn’t drain) in your yard. Along
  with these elements, a homemade map and plant history detailing the l
 ocation of any annual plants in your yard in the past 3-5 years will h
 elp inform the best possible plan for your unique space.\nAri Rosenber

 gh community action and organizing. She has been growing food for 15 y
 ears in both rural and urban environments. She loves teaching a variet
 y of food & gardening workshops, and works behind the scenes keeping G
 reensgrow going as our Finance & Ops manager. When not growing, cookin
 g, or preserving food, you can find her biking or running around the c
