SUMMARY:Historic Germantown 250th Stamp Rally
DESCRIPTION:This fall, history becomes a scavenger hunt as Historic Ge
rmantown debuts its second Stamp Rally of the year. Launching Septembe
r 12 at noon, the Historic Germantown 250th Stamp Rally invites reside
nts and visitors to uncover the pioneers whose stories are rooted thro
ughout the neighborhood. The free, family-friendly experience takes vi
sitors on a scavenger hunt across Northwest Philadelphia, where they c
an collect stamps and discover the remarkable individuals who have sha
ped Historic Germantown’s past and present. Running through November
14, the Stamp Rally builds on Historic Germantown's year-long celebra
tion of America's 250th anniversary by putting the people behind the h
istory at the center of the experience. From artists and abolitionists
to educators, activists, and innovators, participants will encounter
stories of individuals whose achievements made an impact not only on G
