DESCRIPTION:Tucked between a Walmart, outlet malls, and a wastewater t
 reatment plant, yet within view of the New York City skyline, the wetl
 ands of the Hackensack River spoke to artist Nancy Cohen as an “isol
 ated puddle of the organic in a deluge of the human-made.” Cohen’s
  installation transforms the gallery, creating its own environment and
  evoking transportation to a wholly new space. Made of glass, handmade
  paper, and rubber, Hackensack Dreaming explores fragility, persever
 ance, and the new realities produced by the human and natural collidin
