DESCRIPTION:The Fairmount Art Center is celebrating ten years of cult
 ivating creative genius in the Philadelphia region with a 10th Birthd
 ay Blowout Bash in conjunction with the Fairmount Arts Crawl. The par
 ty starts at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 6 and ends at 6:00 PM.\nThe Fair
 mount Art Center was founded in 2004, and in 2011 was joined together 
 with the Queen Village Art Center to form the Philly Art Center. This 
 Bash honors the history of the Fairmount Art Center, which has cultiva
 ted creative genius in Philadelphia for a decade.\nThis is a family-fr
 iendly event with attractions for both adults and children. All will e
 njoy hands-on art making, including screen printing, painting, pottery
  demonstrations and crafts galore, in three huge tents set up along 25
 th Street. A photo display will show the transformation of the Fairmou
 nt Art Center community over its decade in existence. There will also
  be a Fairmount and Queen Village Student Art Show, featuring artwork
  from {SCHOOLS}. Influential political figures from the community will
  be on hand to honor the center’s artistic contributions to the chil
 dren of Philadelphia.\nA baby zone will feature interactive music and 
 play activities. Peanutbutter, a featured guest on the Martha Stewart
  Show and Terry Gross’s Fresh Air, will provide airbrush face painti
 ng. Local food trucks such as Tot Cart and Lil’ Pop Shop will provid
 e snacks. At 4:30pm, festival goers will sing happy birthday with the 
 Avalon String Band and blow out candles atop a giant cupcake tree, wit
 h cupcakes being served for all in attendance.\nRaffle tickets will be
  sold, with proceeds benefitting Bache Martin Elementary School’s 
 Home and School Association. The grand prize in the raffle is a full 
 season of After-School Care with pick-up five days a week or a session
