 y”
DESCRIPTION:In honor of the completed Urban Topiary, JDT International
  will host a community celebration and Urban Roots fundraiser on Octob
 er 22nd in conjunction with DesignPhiladelphia. Guests will enjoy cock
 tails and hors d’oeuvres in The Flats at Girard Pointe, as they meet
  and greet with the Urban Topiary designers and check out the new “l
 iving” sculpture. First, guests will be able to learn about upcoming
  mentoring workshops for kids and the Urban Roots fine arts projects. 
 Second, guests can join in creating a temporary mural on the wall adja
 cent to the Urban Topiary. Third, the City of Philadelphia Mural Arts 
 Program will be in attendance to announce a fantastic Urban Roots mura
 l that will complete the design of The Flats at Girard Pointe. In addi
 tion to these fine arts projects, Urban Roots will also announce an ex
 tremely exciting new Mentoring Workshop in Collaboration with ACE, You
 thBuild and the Greek American Heritage Society of Philadelphia.  The
  workshop will take 20 YouthBuild students through 16 sessions of exci
 ting trips, construction site visits and intriguing lectures. Finally,
  to raise funds for future Urban Roots projects and programs, JDT Inte
 rnational will sell Urban Roots T-shirts, invite guests to partake in 
 pumpkin painting and fall festivities, as well as allow guests the cha
 nce to win exciting prizes by purchasing raffle tickets.\n \n\nFor mo
