 y there's not much happening around town on summer weekends? That's be
 cause everyone's in Avalon. Want to join the fun? Then consider joinin
 g an Avalon shore house sponsored by Tom Stolle. Five houses to choose
  from on 24th, 27th, 28th, 79th, and 80th Streets. The following age g
 roups are available (each house is different): mid-20s to early 30s, 3
 0s, 30s and 40s, 40s and 50s.\n\nHave you ever experienced a summer sh
 ore house? Basically, singles and couples come together to share a hou
 se. It's an opportunity to meet other like-minded professionals who ar
 e looking to make new friends and have a good time. This won't be a fl
 op or frat house situation. You do not have to commit to the entire su
 mmer of weeks or weekends.\n\nThe cost is $1,650 for a half share (eve
 ry other week), but depending on the house you pick, your season will 
 be either 9 or 10 weeks. The full season cost is $3,000 for double the
  weeks. This setup couldn’t work without some structure, so there wi
 ll be reasonable rules. And since everything’s in writing, there won
 't be any surprises once summer gets started.\n\nYou may be a little a
 pprehensive about joining a group when you don't know anyone, but don'
 t be. Most of the people joining every summer come on board by themsel
 ves. But to help allay your fears, everyone will have a chance to meet
  each other and see the house in person before making a decision.\n\nS
 o why not stop by for a happy hour on Thursday, May 7th from 6-9pm and
  meet your potential roommates. Get your first free drink if you order
  an appetizer. Plus, we will have drink specials ($3 domestics, $4 cra
 ft beer, $5 wine & call drinks) and there is free on-street parking ri
 ght there. Since you don't have to make a commitment, you have nothing
  to lose. And if you want to see the houses, there will be an open hou
 se in Avalon on Saturday, March 20th. If interested in getting more in
