DESCRIPTION:PHILADELPHIA, PA:  From Friday, May 18 through Sunday, Ma
 y 20, the banks of the Schuylkill River in downtown Philadelphia, will
  once again become an outdoor studio as selected artists begin making 
 art in full public view, outdoors, over the three day period.\nArt in 
 the Open is a public art event that draws attention to the city’s ou
 tdoor spaces, natural areas, and historic waterways through the act an
 d action of artists and their creative expressions. Presented in partn
 ership with the Philadelphia’s Office of Arts and Culture and the Cr
 eative Economy, Fairmount Park, Schuylkill River Banks Association, an
 d more than 20 other cultural, environmental and civic organizations, 
 Art in the Open Philadelphia (AiO) is the only citywide event of it’
 s kind.\n \nThis year AiO is part of an “Art Stroll” that joins t
 he opening of the new Barnes Museum and the newly renovated Rodin Muse
 um along the Ben Franklin Parkway. Visitors can begin or complete thei
 r Art Stroll with a stop at PMA and the Schuylkill Banks for AiO in fu
 ll view of the historic and picturesque Schuylkill river. Special fami
 ly day activities will be offered by a number of partnering organizati
 ons on Saturday, May 19, 10 am – 1pm located near the “skate park�
 �� section of the park.  A wrap up exhibition of the work created dur
 ing AiO will be presented at The Independence Seaport Museum, Thursday
