SUMMARY:After the Flowers Pass: Works by Amir Khadar
DESCRIPTION:Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens presents its exhibition “
After the Flowers Pass: Works by Amir Khadar” in its indoor gallerie
 s. Amir Khadar is a multi-disciplinary artist from Minneapolis, Minnes
ota, who bridges the gap between fantasy and reality in otherworldly c
reations. In “After the Flowers Pass,” Khadar uses textiles and mi
xed media to construct a post-apocalyptic world that reimages hierarch
ies in today’s society. Khadar liberates their figures and creates a
visual language that centers on race, gender, and climate justice. Th
e opening reception on July 19th offers Pay-What-You-Wish entry, while
the remainder of the will have a general admission fee.\n\nFor more i
